Artist registration - will you be one of the 25 acts?
On June 1st, we're opening the first 25 artist registrations for the next Listening Room Festival. These artists will be considered for showcases at one or several stops on the festival route, and we expect the first 25 to sell out quickly.
The goal of this festival is to inspire new hosts throughout California, and to create gigs and touring opportunities for CIYH artists. Our first festival, in Florida, resulted in 40 scheduled house concerts, 17 active artist participants, for an average income of $600. In California, we'd like to double that.

Are you interested?
If so, here's how you should prepare.
- If you'll need to fly, start checking airfare options.
- If you have friends and fans in California, start creating an invite list, especially with Facebook and email.
- If you want to be considered for a showcase, make sure your CIYH profile looks sharp, and has your best video embedded. (Showcase judges will be California hosts.)
- Be ready to register online at noon, pacific time, June 1. Registration will be $100.
- There is no hotel. Artists will stay with hosts, friends, CouchSurfing.com, or whatever else they can arrange. We want you to make money and meet great people. If possible, travel in pairs for additional safety.
- There is no exhibit hall, or printed program for you to advertise in. There will be workshops and meetups along the route. Some workshops may require a small additional fee.
- You do not have to participate for all 10 days. If you only want to attend/play in one area, that's fine.
